1:1 Private Sessions

A conversation built
entirely around you.

60 minutes. Video call. The specific kind of understanding that only comes from someone who's been there and studied it.

A private consultation built entirely around you.

What I offer is a private consultation: a focused conversation with someone who brings both the academic training and the depth of understanding to meet you exactly where you are.

I am a trained conflict analyst and certified mediator specializing in generational trauma and high conflict family systems. Every session is built entirely around you: your situation, your questions, and what you want to understand more clearly. If you are ready for that conversation, you are in the right place.

My job is to validate your experiences through the gift of listening. I am a neutral party to your internal or external conflict, and every session is tailored specifically to you.

Please note: Each booking is a single session. There is not a lot of time to revisit the past in depth, but it is a meaningful and focused starting point.

What a session can help you with:

Unpacking a family conflict — understanding what really happened and why it keeps repeating
Navigating no contact or estrangement — processing the grief and validating the decision
Identifying your role in family dynamics — scapegoat, truth-teller, or just the one who noticed
Setting and holding boundaries — with parents, siblings, or partners who grew up in similar systems
Gaining real clarity — leaving with a framework, not just a feeling

We meet privately, on video

We connect via secure video call. You can bring one specific situation, a question you can't stop asking, or just a feeling you've never been able to put words to.

You leave with something tangible

You leave with real clarity: a new way of seeing the dynamic, a framework for understanding your role, or a concrete next step.

What exactly is a private consultation?

A private consultation is a focused, one-on-one session where you bring a situation and I bring a framework. I'm a trained conflict analyst and certified mediator — and a survivor of the exact dynamics many of my clients are navigating. That combination means I can offer something most conversations can't: real understanding alongside a structured way of making sense of it.

What is the difference between a private consultation and therapy?

Therapy is a licensed mental health service provided by a clinician who can diagnose and treat mental health disorders. A private consultation is not therapy and does not replace it. What I offer is a structured conversation focused on understanding your dynamics, validating your experiences, and gaining clarity on your situation. I do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide clinical treatment. If you are currently in therapy, a session with me can complement that work. If you are not, and you feel you may need clinical support, I encourage you to seek that alongside or before booking.

What should I bring to the session?

Just yourself — and whatever is most present for you right now. That might be a specific incident, a pattern you've noticed, a relationship that's confusing you, or a decision you're trying to make. There's no prep required. Some people find it helpful to jot down a few notes beforehand, but it's genuinely not necessary.

What if I've never talked about this with anyone?

That's one of the most common things people say to me before their first session — "I've never told anyone this." That's exactly what this space is for. You don't need to have it all figured out. You don't need to know the right words. You just need to show up and start somewhere. We'll get there together.

What's the difference between this and just talking to a friend?

A good friend validates your feelings. I do that too — but I also bring a graduate-level framework for understanding family systems, conflict dynamics, and trauma. I can help you see the structure underneath the chaos: why the patterns repeat, what role you've been assigned, and how those dynamics were designed to keep you confused. That combination of empathy and analytical rigor is something most conversations with friends can't offer.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends entirely on you and where you are right now. Some people come once and get exactly what they need. Others return regularly as new situations unfold or as they move into different stages of their recovery. I don't push packages or recurring commitments — every session stands on its own, and you decide what comes next.

Is our conversation confidential?

Yes. What you share in our session stays between us. I treat confidentiality as a core professional obligation — I will never share, discuss, or reference your story without your explicit permission.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance is billable for diagnosed mental health disorders. I do not diagnose disorders, nor am I licensed to do so. Therefore I do not accept insurance. Sessions are a private pay service at $175.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. I am rarely able to fill a cancelled session on short notice, and last minute cancellations delay our work together. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, a $50 fee will be charged unless I am able to fill the slot with another client. This fee is waived in the event of a serious or contagious illness or emergency.
